What is the program?
The Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center Program is provided by the U.S Department of Education and administered by the Delaware Department of Education, and is provided through a partnership with Booker T. Washington Elementary School.

What is the purpose? Who can attend?
The purpose of the grant is to create or expand community learning centers that provide academic enrichment and youth development opportunities for students in grades 5. The program is called the WHMS WIN Program. The acronym stands for What I Need.

What is our goal?
Our goal is to make sure that all students access the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in college and careers.

Where & When?
The program is held at William Henry Campus Monday through Thursday 2:20- 5:00. Transportation is provided.

How do I register?
Enrollment forms are available at William Henry Campus.

Is there a cost?
Funding is provided by the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Center Learning Grant and is therefore FREE to all who attend. Donations are accepted

As a parent of a student, what can I expect from this program?
Academic enrichment (including Extra Help)
Youth Development Activities including Character Education Programs • Art & Music • 4-H • Recreation Programs for Physical activity (PAL) • & Swimming (YMCA) • STEM Technology Education Programs • Drug & Violence Prevention Programs, and field trips. Family literacy and educational development • Healthy Snacks.
